Alcohol Drink Recipes

Cosmopolitan Martini
Ingredients:
½ oz. Cointreau
1 oz. vodka
Juice of ½ lime
1 splash cranberry juice

Directions:
Pour ingredients in mixing glass half-filled with ice
Shake and strain into chilled martini glass

Screwdriver
Ingredients:
2 oz. vodka
Orange juice

Directions:
Place 3 ice cubes in a highball glass
Add vVodka
Fill balance of glass with orange juice
Stir and serve

Manhattan
Ingredients:
¾ oz. sweet vermouth
2 ½ oz blended bourbon
Dash Angostura bitters
2 or 3 ice cubes
1 Maraschino cherry
1 twist of an orange peel

Directions:
Combine vermouth, bourbon, bitters and ice in a mixing glass
Stir gently
Place cherry in a chilled cocktail glass
Strain bourbon over the cherry
Rub cut edge of orange peel over the rim of the glass
Without dropping it in, carefully twist the orange peel over the drink

Margarita
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. tequila
½ oz. triple sec
1 oz. lime juice
Salt

Directions:
Rub rim of cocktail glass with lime juice
Dip rim in salt
In shaker, mix all ingredients with ice
Strain into the salt-rimmed glass and serve

Christmas Drink Recipes

Creamy Eggnog
Ingredients:
Soft Custard
3 eggs
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 ½ cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Eggnog Holiday Drink Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla
½ cup light rum
1 or 2 drops yellow food coloring, if desired
Ground nutmeg

Directions:
Stir eggs, granulated sugar and salt in a 2-quart saucepan until well-mixed
Gradually stir in milk
Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat 10-15 minutes
Once mixture coats a metal spoon, remove from heat
Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla
Place saucepan in cold water until custard cools
Cover and refrigerate 2-24 hours
Just before serving, beat whipping cream, powdered sugar and ½ teaspoon vanilla in a medium (chilled) bowl with an electric mixer (high-speed) until stiff
Stir in rum, food coloring and 1 cup of the whipped cream into the custard
Pour custard mixture into small punch bowl
Drop remaining whipped cream onto custard mixture
Sprinkle with nutmeg
Store in refrigerator no longer than two days

Peppermint Twist
Ingredients:
1 oz. Peppermint Schnapps
1 oz. Kahlua
1 oz. Brown Crème de Cacao

Directions:
Fill a shaker half-full with ice cubes
Pour all ingredients into shaker and shake well
Strain drink into a cocktail glass and serve

Scotch Holiday Sour
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. Scotch
1 oz. cherry brandy
½ oz. sweet vermouth
1 oz. lemon juice
1 lemon slice

Directions:
In a shaker, shake all ingredients—except lemon slice—with ice
Strain into an old-fashioned glass over ice cubes
Add lemon slice

Holiday Punch
Ingredients:
2-48 oz. cans pineapple juice
1-40 oz. bottle cranberry juice
2-750 milliliter bottles soda water
1 liter strawberry, raspberry or lime sherbet
(Optional) 1 ½ oz. vodka

Directions:
Mix juices in a punch bowl
Pour in soda water
Top with scoops of sherbet
If desired, add 1 ½ oz. vodka for an individual cocktail
